The idea that my group came up with was to make a game show called "All Around AllStar". This game consists the best players from the NHL, NBA, NFL, MLS, MLC, ATP. The players will compete in all the sports to see who is the "All Around All Star". If you have any other names or players that you think should compete in this compition please comment the names. Assignment 3

The quote that I choose is “you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make the horse drink, unless you have the horses mother locked up in a cage somewhere”. The reason that I choose this quote is because it shows how the book is written in a happy but dark mood throughout the whole book. One of the parts that I liked about the quote is that it took a very old saying and twisted it in a dark way, the reason that I like that is because I as a reader like it when authors take “history” and make it more modern! The reason that this quote is important in the plot is because it concretes your feeling about the antagonist Dr.Hatch who up until this point you could not tell wither he is a protagonist or an antagonist. The thing that drew me to this quote is that the day that I read it I had actually heard the saying “you can lead a horse to water but you can not make him drink” at least one time in every class. In this quote the author builds up a lot of suspense up until this quote, which has made the book such a good book to read, because you can never tell who is the good guy and who is the bad guy.

Assignment 4

My author’s style of writing is informal because he uses some of the characteristics of an informal piece such as dialogue, slang and lower level language.  Richard Paul Evans uses a verity of sentences but the majority of them are short and mostly dialogue. The novel is organized in a chronological order (in order of sequence). I believe that the author made these choices because of the type of story. For example if he were to write the story in a formal style of writing then the story line would be much more dull. Another reason that I believe he made the choice to have lots of dialogue is because it has help discover the characters in the story. These two main choices that he has made has made the story much more easy to read because I genuinely want to sit down and read the book.

Assignment 5

            My favorite part of my book so far is when Dr.Hatch, the antagonist, takes Michael’s mother away from him in the parking lot of pizza planet late at night. The reason that I liked this part so much is because not only does it have a lot of action, but it is also kind of sad at the same time because you know that a small boy that only has one friend and just a single mother will be losing his mother and have to fend for himself from now on.
